Do you know most children are misdiagnosed every year who need the support of an Advocate or Specialist in their corner to assist them with navigating the educational system. Children with Learning Disabilities are no exception. Over 2 million students in our public schools have IEPs for LD. This is by far the largest disability category covered under special education law. More than one-third (38 percent) of all students with IEPs are classified as having LD.
Most people are unaware that there are 7 types of Learning Disabilities:

Children with special needs are usually entitled to receive auxiliary services or accommodations through the public schools. Specializing
- IEP’s and IESP’s( Individual Educational Plan) or (Individualized Education Service Program) for Homeschool students; assisting in writing a proper IEP that meets child’s needs,
- 504 Plans and additional support services
- Assist in providing Assistive technology if needed for student through Department of Education
- Expertise of IDEA, ADA, NCLB and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act Laws
- Knowledge of DDS including SSI, SSDI, and Medicaid.

The Parent Member is a Certified member of the State that supports a parent of a child with a disability at their IEP meeting.
